I have primed my T-zone with Benefits POREfessional then primed my lids with Urban Decays - Eyeshadow Primer Potion and also filled in my brows with Dipdown. Currently I've used MAC - Studio Finish Concealer in NW 35 to shape them and polish up. (For a step by step pictorial for my foundation and eyebrow routine please rummage through my Archive!) Afterwards, I used Dipdown as a base on my eyelids then smudged the crease so it doesn't look too harsh and eases the work to blend other shadows. Work quickly because Dipdown sets fast on the skin.
This is a no-brainer I used this nice Warm Mocha Brown from my BH Cosmetics Pallet 2nd Edition to blend out the crease. I absolutely adore this color because it is very pigmented, I'ts matte and it blends like butter!
Work your way in from the outer corner in circular motions and let the dome shadow brush work for you.
Work that color into your skin until you have blended it all out. Remember to master a great smokey eye you should blend that shadow out girl!
I spritzed on a bit of MAC - Fix onto a medium shadow brush. Gently pat the brush on a dry towel to remove any excess Fix. You want the brush to be moist enough to pick up the pigmentation in the shadow but avoid getting it drenched because you can ruin the shadow on your face and the shadow in the pan.
Next, I used this gorgeous vivid Violet shadow with bits of silver shimmer.
I patted the shadow onto the lid.
And worked a little up to the crease so a little bit of violet shadow peeks though.
Then used a pointed blender brush to apply this matte black shadow.
I concentrated the shadow on the outer corner then worked the product gradually in a windshield wiper motion.
Next I used a light beige matte shadow and patted it onto a large shadow brush.
I highlighted my brow bone, inner eye and blended the black shadow out.
Isn't this shimmery shadow gorgeous! I've had it for ages and I still havn't hit pan. It is the Milani - Runway Eyes in Golden Touch!
I applied it to the inner corner of the eye with a detail shadow brush to open up my eyes.
I gently swept any excess shadow on the detailed shadow brush onto the crease where the black shadow is placed.
With a angle brush I applied Dipdown to line the outer lower lid then smudged it out. I have small eyes so I usually just line the outer portion of the lid.
Next, applied the same vibrant violet shadow to the outer lower lid.
With the same detail shadow brush I swept Golden Touch on the inner lower lid to meet up with the vibrant violet shadow.
To polish the look I used a concealer brush under the eyes to keep that cat-eye then set my concealer and foundation with 8HR Mattifiying Compact Foundation and I also used the Banana Luxury Powder under my eyes and T-Zone as a highlighter.
I wish Smashbox would bring back the step-by-step contour kit. I was fortunate enough to receive this as as gift roughly a year ago. It is evident I have used this baby up!!
With an angled brush I swept the deep cocoa brown to contour the hollows of my cheeks.
I also used the highlighter on the highest part of my cheek bones then I layered Fairly Precious.
Another product I wish Mary Kay brought back is their signature blushers! Obviously I have hit pot with the blush as well haha. Nevertheless I will be using the bronzer on the opposite side of Santa Fe Sun as a blusher.
I just wanted the slightest flush of color on the checks since I am going pretty dramatic on the lids the bronzer in the Santa Fe Sun blusher compliments my skintone.
Since I want most of the attention on the eyes I will be using Mocha which is described to be a peachy yellow-brown (satin finish) lipstick.
Afterwards I lined my lips and the corners with NYX - Mahogany lip pencil, this technique with give the lips a pucker effect.
I lined my lids last because I like to set all of my make up with a powder whether that be: shadow, blushers, highlighters, or face powders. Then I line my lids since I am going back to liquid make up.
Since I am doing for some vava-BOOM! I applied a pair of glamorous Wispies along my lash line with DUO Lash Adhesive in (Dark or Black). I love this glue because you can't see it against my eyeliner once it dries.
Hands down this is the best lash glue on earth!
This is the completed look!
